NATURAL BEAUTY UNLIKE ANY OTHER
There is nothing like the timeless beauty of real hardwood floors. Start your search here! We have classic oak, maple, acacia, walnut, birch, and Brazilian Cherry, just to name a few.
Types of Hardwood
There are two types of hardwood we carry – engineered and solid. What is the difference?
Solid wood is what most people think of when they think of a hardwood floor; its a solid piece of wood and usually installs with nails or glue or a combination.
The other option is engineered hardwood which, when you look at the profile of a plank, you can see the layers instead of a solid piece. Solid hardwood expands and contracts with the seasons, engineered hardwoods layers are suppose to help prevent that. Not to say that engineered wood isn’t going to move, but the stacked/cross-grain configuration is suppose to help minimize it.
Our Selection
We have a large selection of both, and over the years we have heard people with good and bad experiences with both types of hardwood. However, one thing is true for both—nothing makes a statement quite like the richness of hardwood floors. We carry a ton of brands at our showroom, Anderson—which is made in America—Vintage, Armstrong, Bruce, Mannington, The Cronin Company, Shaw, Kentwood and many more!
